Growing up as the ugly duckling, I never would have dreamt that one day I would become a model. With teeth like a beaver there wasn’t much hope for me in the “beauty” business. I’d spend hours and hours playing dress up, playing with my makeup (which my father hated) and making quirky faces in the mirror. It wasn’t until after the birth of my two children, my divorce and two years of braces when I decided I wanted to do something just for me.

At the tender age of 24 (the age when most fashion models retire) I took a running start at getting my foot in the door as a pin up model. With the help of a local photographer and production company, I received my first set of proofs and used them to start a model mayhem site.

My first shoot was a glorious event. It was pin up inspired with a group of strong women that were passionate about their art. I was extremely nervous, as I had never been photographed before, especially in lingerie! I have always had body issues and had some self-doubt as to how I would appear on film. They stressed to me that the most important part of the experience was to have fun. So, I did just that. After a great deal of practice the nerves turned into excitement and to this day I never feel sexier then I do when I am in front of a camera.

It wasn’t until later that I became “the master of disguise”. Pin up modeling opened up so many wonderful opportunities with so many talented photographers from all genres of work. I now appear in everything from horror to beauty shots, look carefully, I am like a chameleon!

This is an especially difficult business to make a name in. There will always be someone thinner, edgier, more commercial or all around a more esthetic package. However, there are some things that always stay with people. Work ethic, the ability to show up on time with a good attitude, comfort in your own skin, desire to push the envelope are all traits that have furthered my career.

I have been modeling now for 5 years and have exceeded so many goals that I had previously set for myself. I couldn’t have done that with out the love and support from family, friends and fans.

~BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY~ Ok ladies, you can get away with wearing cheap makeup if you have good brushes. I like MAC brushes but there are other brands out there that are a little more cost efficient. Be sure to stay away from any synthetic brushes. Natural hair brushes are the best. Do us all a favor and throw away those cheap sponge appilcators that come with your product. Having the correct tools makes a world of difference.

*BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY*~ Ok…so today’s beauty tip requires a bit of effort. In my opinion everyone looks best after sex. You have that radiant “I am satisfied” glow that no blush or highlighter can give you. So get out, get busy and have some fun in the sheets for a great glow! Keep in mind that this also applies for people that are forced to play a “single match”. Don’t forget to use a condom!

*BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY*~ Want super soft hair? Massage in a cup of regular mayonnaise into your hair, root to ends. Allow it to sit atleast 15minutes before rinsing it out! Shampoo and condition as usual and pray that you use the good stuff so you dont smell like an egg salad sandwich when you leave the house!

*BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY*~Have you ever seen those loose lucious curls that you know didn’t come from a curling iron and certainly aren’t natural? Chances are they are curls from a flat iron. If you haven’t tried this I HIGHLY recommend watch a tutorial on you tube. Its a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it you will fly right through it! The key is using small sections!
